Current Goal

To travel cache to cache with its owners, The LympstoneBogtrotters, on a rotational basis with all the other coins in our collection. Will be available to be discovered at any caching events we attend.
This Leap into Caching 366 coin will be undertaking the remainder of our FEDOTY Challenge with us, which as of 01-03-2012 stands at 252/366 days of the year with a cache find

UPDATE SEPTEMBER 2014

This coin travelled with us to every cache which contributed to the completion of our FEDOTY Grid challenge, which we finally completed on the 23rd April 2014 with a find at Team paulemma's ''A Stroll Along Exmouth Seafront''. It is now having a well earned rest, and the ocassional polish with the silver cloth. I wonder if Stuey will organise another event at The Cat and Fiddle to celebrate Leap Day in 2016?  yes

About This Item

366 UK Front

Leap into Caching 2012 Multi-Event Geocoin, United Kingdom.
1.75'' diameter, 3mm deep, nickel base with polished gold plating. Part transluecent orange, blue and black colour scheme, the obtuse side of the coin displaying a 12 point compass integrated into a monthly clock around the perimeter, the centre sporting a 366 motif alongside a lily pad. The reverse of the coin is in a predominantly transluecent orange colour with 'LEAP INTO CACHING' & '366 DAYS OF THE YEAR' on a black inked perimeter. 366 is again previlant in large letters across the orange centre, and there are three further lily pads too.
I purchased this coin from Ian Gore (Lizzardman) who designed and chose the colour scheme. The coin design was by Mark Clemens (Avroair) out of Washington State in the USA. There were 20 different versions of these 366 Multi-Event coins produced and distributed by Oakcoins, not in particularly large numbers either; the mint run for this UK version was set at 100 pieces.
This coin was activated on the 29-02-2012 to coincide with Stuey's ''Get your caching fix ......... on day 366!!!!!!!!' Event in Exeter in Devon.
