About This Item

DH's 4th Annual Baker County Moonshine Run Event

Thanks to LaLoba'sWay for the transfer of this cool coin! It was originally activated on September 15, 2012, in Florida. After transfer to DisposableHERO, it was made available for discovery on March 28, 2016.

This coin is to remain in my collection, traveling with me to geocaches and being discovered by fellow geocachers at events.

Trivia:

This coin was stolen from LaLoba'sWay at a mega event in Florida. It disappeared for several years, only to reappear on ebay. The seller had bought it at a garage sale and wasn't even sure of what geocoins are. I talked with him, shared information about geocaching and geocoins, let him know that the coin technically belonged to someone--from whom it was stolen--and he immediately took down the auction listing and expressed interest in getting it (and many more that he bought at the same time) back to the original owner. With LaLoba'sWay's permission and blessing, I bought the coins from the seller, adopted them, and added them to my collection. It's an honor to have this coin.

The coin's original mission was:

"This Coin is dedicated to HorseshoeChamp, the Mayor of Osceola.
May this Coin meet the Ambassadors of the Caching world through events and happenstance.
I would like this coin to be passed from one cacher to another.
Receiving it means that you have given to the geocaching community and we thank you!
Happy Caching!"

Discovered it. Because this owner was a terrific person and did a good thing for another cacher, my friend, I'll discover his inventory. Thank you for sharing.
