Current Goal

This TB shall always be on #5, The Silverado.  I want to complete grabbing caches in the lower 48 and maybe a few Canadian Province's in this Silverado.

About This Item

This is #5, my fifth vehicle in life. It is my second Geo-Truck.  It is on my white Chevy Silverado.    I do most of my geocaching from it.  I’ve always loved road trips. I bought #5 after I retired, and for once got a truck with a few creature comforts to make those trips a little more enjoyable.  If you see this TB outside of Kalamazoo MI, I am no doubt grabbing a cache. If I’m in town there is a good possibility my errand has a cache grab tied to it somehow too.   My goal with this truck it to finish grabbing the rest of the lower 48 states.  Currently I’m at 36.  (06.01.2019 I now have 39 states.)

So if you spot this truck, KzooOtters, and Charlie, my faithful side kick, are probably caching nearby.

    Well, #5 died protecting me today. A driver high on meth crossed the double yellow line head on at me. I got over as far as I could without rolling into the 3’ drainage ditch. That made it so he sideswiped me instead of a head on impact at 55 MPH! The impact started at my drivers door on back. His front driver's side tire caught my rear driver's side tire. That knocked me into the ditch and started me spinning. I spun 90 degrees and slid to a stop. I bailed out of the truck as fast as I could but he was gone. A witness soon said he went down the road and onto the first parking lot. When I got there he was just getting his twp young children out of his SUV. When the police arrived they investigated and arrested him. He was arrested for operating under the influence of drugs, possession of meth and endangering children. #5 is totaled as you can see from the pictures. She was my favorite whip. I will miss her but I am so grateful to walk away from this accident. Final Miles 119,077
