Hallo ich bin Percy - ich bin eine kleine grüne Tenderlok und normalerweise auf Sodor mit der Post unterwegs. Zusammen mit Thomas und James habe ich ein großes Rennen gestartet um zu sehen wer weiter kommt -- das wird ein Spaß. Der Tag der Entscheidung wird der 01.01.2025 sein -- also los helft mir als Sieger in dem Rennen zu enden. Gewonnen hat - #1 Thomas, # Percy ist 2. und #5 James ist 3. Jetzt setze ich meine Reise ohne Druck fort und freue mich auf viele Abenteuer

After visiting the location of the silver pike in Strasburg Colorado, we came to Lake Powell and decided to give Percy a challenging cache to live in. Additionally, we dropped off a Morse code pirate bracelet called “the dreadful“.
I thought it was only fitting for Percy to visit the place where the true transcontinental railroad was joined near Strasburg Colorado. This is where the two train rails met that truly connected the Atlantic to the Pacific. It is often referred to as the silver spike. The golden spike that was placed in Utah didn’t connect the east to the west because you had to cross the Mississippi river, which means it could take weeks to get all the cargo unloaded and crossed on ferries to the other side. I would call that cheating :-).
Nabbed Percy from a Cache near Cotopaxi while we riding in Texas Creek. Will find some time to move it to a another cache with my grandkids.
