Current Goal

Oregon where the first cache (stash) was placed on 5/3/2000 by Dave Ulmer in Clackamas County on Beaver Creek and challenged the internet world to follow his coordinates to the Original Cache!  Thus began the worldwide adventure, hobby, addiction for a high tech treasure hunt around Mother Earth bringing all peoples together to find and write their names in a log in their native tongue!  May the satellites be with each and every one!

About This Item

Cache Addict has created this marvelous series of coins that include a large and micro version of the coin for release.  The front is a depiction of the state's attributes, logo, and major attactions; in Oregon's case, Crater Lake and the wine industry and on the back is the GC number (GCF) for the first state cache and the date it was placed, Thank You Dave Ulmer!

    Sorry about the missing coin. I really didn't think it would be in danger where I placed it. In fact I placed a brand new geocoin of my own in there at the same time. But the cacher that checked on it is pretty experienced and I take his word that it's missing. I waited two months hoping it was just a matter of someone logging late, but now I've marked my own as missing.
