DarkZen - Golden!

Visit caches that might seem to be a bit ordinary.  Log your visits with words that paint pictures and put the reader smack dab in the middle of your experience.  Share your caching with friends who jump at the opportunity to spend some time together. Post photos of yourselves having golden times together.

As I am setting up this travel bug I realized I don't have a really good one to represent my friend, DarkZen.  Then I realized this coin might be just fine.  At first it seems just a little ordinary, with a "slug" being a bit less than complimentary.  But it is golden, and if there is only one word I could use to describe DarkZen it definitely would be golden.  He's a treasure.

DarkZen creates caches that take ordinary subjects and turn them into a masterful puzzles. There's usually a great play on words involved, and always a bit of a challege to apply recognized information  You never know quite where he is going, and then you are there with him.  A smile...a chuckle...perhaps an out-and-out bit of laughter...and there you are!  Golden!

Like so many other great hiders of caches DarkZen has many interestes & talents.  I'm not sure if his mind ever stops creating.  His artwork provokes thought and discussion.  It impacts your senses.  Intentional or not, I find that his hides also tend to assault (in a good way) the senses....near beaches/ocean....up physically challenging trails....cloaked in the trees...and so on.  The hides may be simple, but the travel to reach GZ becomes a journey of mind, body & spirit.

When I've been with DZ I've found myself transported to another time dimension where minutes are so luciously filled with laughter & conversation that the perceived passage of time slows to a "slug" pace.  Then without warning our time together finds an end.  

I've only shared space & time with DarkZen in the company of others, caching and/or socializing.  For a guy who is deceptively "ordinary" on the outside he is exceptionally talented in making our time together "golden", evey time.
