It was always a delight to spot you amongst the crowd at events - I'm sorry we won't get to see you again, or race you along outback highways

With a sad heart I have come to your final journey in a special cache mobile. It's been a pleasure to have known you even though it has only been a short time compared to most that are here today celebrating your life. I've racked my brains and remember first meeting you in Oamaru at the event we had there such a long time ago now. Many of the caching community in Christchurch were unable to be with us today but I know that they will be thinking about the times they have had meeting and caching with you in the past.

Time to say goodbye - till we meet again.

Discovered Granville86a the first day I met you, 21st August 2016... and now today at your farewell.
Thanks for the memories, what everyone has spoken and written about you is so bloody true, you are our Geo-legend. Cache in peace my friend. Im 1744 today, but my next milestone will be your 5192.

It's only fitting I log this on the day of your final farewell. You were always the life and soul of the party, the cheerleader, our chief tree climber, our encyclopedia, and our mentor. If we ever needed help with anything you were the man we called on. Although your driving skills were very much "Hold on to the dashboard and fly by the seat of your pants" your navigational skills were really good and your knack for sniffing out even the cleverest of hides was always top notch. Friday nights and weekends away won't be the same without you here, we will miss your kind nature, your sense of humour and your larger than life presence. We will never forget you. Cache freely Granville86a

Also rediscovered this at the Farwell.
    Will certainly miss his enthusiasm.
I most probably missed out on a lifetime of experience not being with him on his many searcher around the country.

Saw this for the very last time today. 😢 What a send off. Not too many dry eyes in the house. You touched so many people with your kindness, knowledge & time.
Hope all your caching adventures are as much fun as you had here with us. No need to go at 100 miles an hour now. Rest easy Granville86a will think of you often with a smile on my face 💕
Here’s one back at you 😛
