Bockereyders Geocoin (Satin Gold) - Red Fury Edition

The idea for the Bockereyders Geocoin was born during the design competition for the dutch geocoin 2011. The first design for this geocoin was sent in, but did not won the competition.

About the geocoin

One of the famous legends in our region is the legend of the Bokken-rijders (goatriders) or as it was written back in the 18th century: Bockeryeders. It was a fearsome gang that operated in the border region on both sides of the river Maas (Meuse), both in the Netherlands (Kerkrade), Germany (Aachen) and Belgium (Wellen). It was believed they rode
on goats through the sky.....

Two batches with totally five different finishings of the Bockereyders Geocoin were minted:

• Bockereyders Red Fury (Satin Gold), RE, 1st batch
• Bockereyders Green Forest (Antique Bronze), RE, 1st batch
• Bockereyders Dark Night (Antique Silver), LE (75 stuks), 1st batch
• Bockereyders the Gold&Silver (Polished Nickel/Polished Gold), LE (75 made), 1st batch
• Bockereyders Ghost (Antique Copper),  LE (100 made), 2nd batch
