This is the Eureka Flag from Australia, much like the US Confederate flag it represents the fight for freedom. In Australia, miners in Bendigo fought against the law under Peter Lalor, to avoid paying unfair mining taxes. The rest is history as Australia has never had a Civil War and remains a free and democratic country.
