So... My grandfather used to own/operate a commercial electrical company. His company had the electrical maintenance contract for Miami University in Oxford Ohio. One of my grandfather's employees found this cache while repairing something near the trail.. on 10/25/2014. This employee (not really realizing what it was) brought it back to my father's warehouse to give to a younger employee that might know more about it. Needless to say.. it was tossed on a warehouse table, and lived there for the last (almost) 7 years.
My grandfather is now retired and finally cleaning out the warehouse.. with my help. So today, I found this cache on a table in a warehouse in Hamilton Ohio.
