The attached magnet is the home state of the Hill City. Also know as the " City of Seven Hills". It was settled by the English in 1757. Named Lynchburg from its founder John Lynch. Before 1757 the region was Monacan Indian and other Siouan Tutelo-speaking tribes since 1270. During the Civil War Lynchburg was the only major city in Va. that did not fall to the Union. The City of Seven Hills (the Hill City to me) comes from 7 different hills. 1. White Rock Hill,2. Franklin Hill,3. Diamond Hill,4. Federal Hill,5. College Hill,6. Garland Hill, and last but not least 7. Daniel's Hill. So that's a little history of the Hill City. And on that note A Star is Born in the Hill City!!!!!
