Skelly's Journey

Jack has a couple of missions: First, since he's a travel bug, he's interested in moving around and sightseeing. Jack would like to travel from Texas to Hawaii and back again, and would sincerely like to visit Taos, NM, Aspen, CO and Lake Tahoe, NV along the way, if his travels would happen to bring him anywhere near these places. Jack hopes to make it back to Texas one day, where he will retire as a treasured keepsake.

Secondly, Jack's found a fondness for hoarding small bits of random stuff. Jack hopes that you have a thing or two to add to his chain. Shiny or colorful items are preferred. Charms, small pendants, buttons and so forth are perfect. 

This pendant, a ceramic depiction of the head of Tim Burton's character Jack Skellington looked oddly out of place amongst the other pendants of glass, metal or stone gathered in a box together and offered for sale by a jewelry maker at a street fair. She said that it was hand made by her daughter. At once I knew I wanted to make Jack into a travel bug and send him to see the world.

After attaching a shiny watch chain, we thought it might be fun to have folks add bits of bric-a-brac to the chain to give this traveler more character and flair. We found a few trinkets around to help get things started, but there's room on Jack's chain for a lot of little curios. Items of religious, spiritual or mystical significance are especially desirable. Please ensure that whatever you add is securely fastened to the chain. Please avoid attaching pins or anything else that's sharp or pointy, anything with political messaging, and any other items that do not meet the guidelines to be contained in a Geocache. Except that you should find something prohibited, please do not remove items that others have added. Hopefully Jack will make it back heavy with loot from his expedition!

We hope that he inspires all who find him to report back to us his whereabouts, as well as a bit about the place he is visiting and his gracious hosts. Plenty of photos would also be great, as we intend to travel vicariously through Jack.
