Our Mother Bilby has sent us out to explore Australia and places throughout the world where there are endangered species either flora (plant life) or fauna (wildlife). We would like to visit caches near national parks, nature reserves, game reserves, or where humans are helping to plan for the protection and preservation of endangered species throughout the world. We would also like to visit regional town and city caches where we can spend some time telling people and other creatures (and growing living things) of our story and our travels.
Please help us travel throughout Australia and overseas to spread the word of our cuteness and the threats to me and my kind in Australia and threats to other species throughout the globe.
We are a band of four brothers Bilby who are Australian native marsupials. Each of us travels with a Travel Bug to keep us moving on our mission. We also travel with an information sheet about us. We hope you enjoy reading our story and helping us in our travels.
We were once widely found throughout Australia but now because of habitat loss and predation by foxes and feral cats we can only be found in a few areas.
The second Sunday in September is National Bilby Day (in Australia).
You may have heard of my brother the “Easter Bilby”, in Australia we deliver the eggs not that feral Bunny Rabbit.
Our carers 2bois care about the Bilby and their decline in Australia like the decline of many precious animals in the world, this is their way of hopefully spreading some support for all endangered species.
