This species is originally endemic of the North of Madagascar. It was introduced into the Comoro Archipelago, in Reunion, in Mauritius Island, in Seychelles, in the Hawaiian Islands and in the French Polynesia.
This lizard lives in a hot and wet tropical environment.
These animals are insectivorous and eat on the occasion of fruits, the nectar of which they lick in trees.

Cette espèce est originellement endémique du nord de Madagascar. Elle a été introduite dans l'archipel des Comores, à La Réunion, à l'île Maurice, aux Seychelles, à Hawaii et en Polynésie française.
Ce lézard vit dans un milieu tropical chaud et humide.
Ces animaux sont insectivores et consomment à l'occasion des fruits, dont ils lèchent le nectar dans les arbres.
