On Tuesday, February 12, 2013, the day before his 15th birthday, a former student of mine passed away after a long illness. Austin was an amazing athlete before he got sick. Soccer was his great love, but he also excelled at track and at football. The goal for this travel bug is to travel to as many sporting events as possible, around the country, and around the world. Please snap pictures of the travel bug in its travels, whether they are of Little League games, basketball stadiums, football stadiums, soccer fields, track and field events, etc. Down the road, once 'Travel Bug Austin' has had a chance to gather up some memories, I will be giving Austin's parents and brothers the tracking code so that they can see where it's been in the memory of their son and brother. With both the original (lost?) and the duplicate for this one having been released, memories and logs are more important than the miles.
