Photo taken in Woodland Park, Colorado, where we live and close to our home, have a very good view of Pikes Peak. At 14,110 feet (4300 meters), Pikes Peak was the inspiration to Katharine Lee Bates who, in 1895, wrote "America the Beautiful". In the attached photo, Pikes Peak is the tallest mountain, near the center of the picture. Also, Pikes Peak is the site of the second oldest auto race in the US – the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb (PPIHC), second only to the Indianapolis 500. Grabbed this very nice trackable today and will move it along soon. We have two black kitty-kats that we adopted from Happy Cats Haven in Colorado Springs, over 4 years ago. HCH is a no-kill shelter, and they were 2 kittens from a litter of 4; very glad to say that they are both very important parts of our family, and that their other 2 siblings had already been adopted before we went there.
It was just before Christmas, and we adopted Sugarplum and Jellybean; Candy Cane and Gumdrop were the other two. Meow !
