About This Item

The Immediate Response Team (IRT) is a Chinook helicopter crewed by members of 18 and 27 squadron RAF Odiham who are on 15 minutes notice to move to recover casualties from anywhere in Helmand Province, Afghanistan. On the back of the helicopter is the Medical Emergency Response Team (MERT) and a four man force protection team and together they provide life saving treatment regardless of nationality.
