This Travel Bug's mission is to visit FIVE US National Parks and then return home and collect a souvenir from each one.
Elena, my daughter, has always been interested in the outdoors, hiking, kayaking and camping. We took up Geocaching as a way to get her involved in hiking and to learn about technology. The amount of math involved in a simple GPS location computation is years worth of great conversations. To continue that effort, we introduced the Travel Bug. The goal of the travel bug is to help my daughter learn about what the parks have to offer and build her bucket list of places to go. Thank you for helping us move this bug along. To get it started on its trip, we've attached a small trinket, a butterfly, to help get it on its way. We encourage fellow geocachers to add other charms and key chains as this bug makes it way!
