Besuche Geocaching-Events. Verbreite die Seuche. Bitte poste Fotos!
Goal: Travel from cache to cache in search of BRAAAAINS. Visit Geocaching events. Spread the plague. Please take photos!

Meet Birgit a zombie who has become patient number seventeen in our study of the propagation of the zombie plague via geocaching. Birgit was a chemistry student at the Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz, and a pastry chef. Birgit had somewhat unnaturally long limbs, and as a result excelled at rock climbing. She enjoyed bicycling, billiards and spending time in sensory deprivation tanks. Her favorite cartoon character was Berti.
We believe that Birgit contracted the Zombie plague from Patient # 12 - Horst after he returned from a caching trip to America. She had consulted with him on getting properly fitted for a new mountain bike, and met him at the new geocaching club at the university.
This travel bug is part of a larger study to take a closer look at how the zombie plague might propagate if the primary vector for spreading the disease was geocaching. Please visit the following website for further details, and a visualization of how the disease has propagated thus far based on the movement and discovery of this and other infected Zombie travel bugs:

We could not resist this crazy zombie, nestled in such a rustic setting. We felt we surely needed to move her before she spooked the sweet ponies next door. Perhaps we'll find her a new location a little closer to the military base, where they can keep her under tighter surveillance!

Our first Travel Bug - and like all first experiences we are very excited. We found Birgit in " De Lange Jaap" with a nice view over the sea. We also know a very nice spot with ocean view under the palm trees - and Birgit says that's ok 😉
