About This Item

This travel bug was created after the BYC Discussion on Geocaching Badges.

The Branch Youth Council (BYC) is the primary body representing the Youth Members of Scouts Australia in the SA Branch. You know, ‘of the people, by the people, for the people’ and all that gear…just to get historical on you.
 
The BYC identifies areas where improvements could be made (or is referred topics by members of Scouting) and researches, discusses and makes recommendations to the relevant people and councils. We meet at Scouts SA Headquarters on Glen Osmond Road and discuss topics put forward for BYC's opinion. Another focus is gaining youth input at major events by running an activity to get people involved and running regular youth forums to get the input of a wider cross-section of the state.
 
We are always looking for people who want to give back to Scouting and learn and meet people along the way to apply to join! The wider the range of ages, backgrounds and districts involved, the better we can represent all members of the branch as a council (South Australia Members only) [:)]
