Current Goal

Hello - My name is Hanh - I'm a rat.  My name in Vietnamese means Right Conduct.

My Grandparents fought in WWI.  Grammy was a nurse, and Grampy was in the trenches.  He wrote letters telling us how tough things were.  The soldiers would shoot at them, and try to chase them away from the rations.  They were frustrated with Trench foot, and the knowledge that if the order "Over the Top" was given, they'd have to enter No-Man's Land where there was only a 30-second survival rate.

My parents were involved in WWII.  They were Jewish pretending not to be - and helped to hide some of the Jews, finding ways of getting food, building a false wall in their hole to keep a few friends safe.  The hardest part they said, was dealing with the anguish of how decent people were treated like less than the lowest creature - like a bug you could squash.  My mom ended up on a boat - and was pregnant at the time.  That's where me and my brothers came along.

 I met my love during the Vietnam war.  And this is the reason I want to go there. I need to find him again. When things got crazy, I hitched a ride on a suitcase - and found myself in America. 

  Please help me get back to Vietnam. 
My Brother Larry is on his way to Germany, and my other Brother Oreo is on his way to Russia.  Once we meet up again in Hillsboro - we'll have a nice reunion to share stories.
