Die Aufgabe dieses zweiten Hühnergottes ist es, insgesamt 15 Hafenstädte in 15 unterschiedlichen Ländern dieser Welt zu bereisen. Anschließend soll der Hühnergott zurückreisen nach Berlin und in meinem ersten Cache abgelegt werden. Bitte ladet ein Foto des Hühnergottes aus jedem der 15 Küstenorte hoch. Danke fürs Mitmachen.

Diesen Hühnergott habe ich im Juli 2015 auf der Ostseeinsel Fehmarn gefunden. Das Loch darin entstand durch das Verwittern von im Feuerstein eingelagerter Kreide. Nach altem slawischen Glauben beschützt ein Hühnergott das Hausgeflügel vor dem bösen weiblichen Erdgeist Kikimora. Daher wurden die Steine außen an Hühnerställe gehängt (mehr dazu findet sich in der Wikipedia). Heute werden solche Steine gerne als Souvenir von Urlaubern gesammelt.
I found this adder stone (in German: chicken god) during my summer vacation 2015 on the German island Fehmarn in the Baltic Sea. The hole inside comes from the washing out of embedded chalk of the flint stone. Chicken gods were believed to protect fowl from the evil female gnome Kikimora. Therefore they have been placed outside of chicken houses (for further information check out the Wikipedia). Today these stones are a souvenir sought after by tourists.
