The dragon is a fable creature known from myth, fairy tales and sagas. For a long time, the dragon was thought a real existing animal.
In oriental and western creation myth the dragon stands for chaos and is regarded as a bad and hostile creature.
In contrary, the Asian dragon is regarded as a creature with a mainly good character. He brings rain and happiness and stands as a symbol for fertility and power of the emperor.
