Year of the Dragon Coin




Vom 23. Januar 2012 bis zum 9. Februar 2013 wird in China das Jahr des Wasser-Drachen gefeiert.  Der Drache gilt in Asien als großes Glückssymbol und steht somit für etwas Gutes. Entsprechend groß wurde der Jahreswechsel in China gefeiert.

Über die chinesische Astrologie:
Die Zyklen der chinesischen Zeitkreise betragen 12 Jahre (Ratte, Büffel, Tiger, Hase, Drache, Schlange, Pferd, Schaf, Affe, Hahn, Hund, Schwein). Somit wiederholt sich jedes Tierkreiszeichen alle 12 Jahre wieder. Zusätzlich wird jedes Jahr noch ein Element aus der 5-Element-Lehre zugeordnet (Metall, Wasser, Holz, Feuer, Erde), wodurch Bezeichnungen wie der "Wasser-Drache" enstehen. Hiermit ergibt sich eine Periode von 60 Jahren, welche nach der Legende nach erstmals im Jahr 2637 v. Christus begann.
