Travel throughout the free world to salute the World War II American Volunteer Group pilots who helped preserve freedom.
I'm making this a Virtual Travel Bug since someone stole it and obviously isn't going to put it back into circulation (which is why I don't do TBs). This was my 1st TB and it's theft really soured me on them. Please feel free to find it.

I was fortunate enough to work for The Flying Tiger Line which was the world's largest cargo airline. Bob Prescott, who was a pilot in the AVG, founded the airline after World War II. A movie was made about the AVG which starred John Wayne. The airline's first paying cargo was a load of strawberries flown from Long Beach, CA to Atlanta, GA for Piggly Wiggly. Flying Tigers merged with FedEx in 1989.
