My first camera back, a LowePro Rover, served me well and travelled everywhere with me for more than twelve years. With all the zipper broken and things falling out of it though it was time for a replacement. GM got me this LowePro Compurover AW for my birthday and I put it into service immediately. Well, as soon as I could get a decent number of patches sewn on!
It’s bigger than the old pack and can accommodate a laptop. Now I don’t have to bring a navkit on flights any more!
Of the eight travel bugs we have previously released, four were picked up but never logged, never to be heard from again. Three have seen some movement this year and one has been rotting in a premium cache for over two years now. I hope that by turning something that travels with me frequently, and (should not!) leave my control this “travel bug” will remain in circulation for a long, long time.
