Current Goal

This tracks my mileage since cache #620 (20060817). This coin collects all local logs I make on all caches--finds and DNFs alike. If I don't use a tool to log power trails, this coin also receives mileage from the trips I make.

About This Item

A gift to me while on the DeLorme Challenge. I used to carry this in my pocket to every cache I found. Now, I keep it in my messenger bag, which I bring when traveling, which means it's at the house when I'm not.

Due to this coin's activity, I would like to warn you against placing it on your watch list. But, if you want to stalk me, there's no better way.

I thoroughly enjoyed this hide and will use it later. While searching, a security guard approached us and asked if we were looking for the cache. Yes, we were. I found the cache, though my approach was wrong.

This is a very good area for a difficult micro hide; there are so many alternate hiding spots to choose from, but does not overwhelm the cacher. A very good area—and coordinates—indeed.

The coordinates were a bit off, which led me to approach one way while c3 stayed on the other side. He found the cache and I came out to join him.

Some softball games were going on and the field was flooded with pedestrians. We joined two out of state cachers and continued the search. I asked if they had checked a simple hiding space and they said they dismissed it due to the difficulty rating. I checked the hide and found the cache. Perhaps the stealth factor increased the difficulty or the rating is set for those who have never seen this type of hide before.

After this, we went back to the event as that was all we could do in the park.

These were much better coordinates when compared to the last cache. We simply followed the geotrail and found the cache.

After searching at the main coordinates for quite some time and coming up empty, I plugged in the alternate coordinates and found they took us more than a hundred yards away! Once we were close to ground zero, I found the cache. In it was a raffle ticket, which was a winner. Praise be to alternate coordinates.
