This is a wild coin that likes to be in remote wilderness areas. It wants to avoid "side of the road" and city caches. Please help it meet its goal by placing it in remote caches near National Parks throughout the world.
This special coin was earned during a 2012 geocaching event held in Waterton Lakes National Park in Alberta Canada. It was sponsored by the Waterton Natural History Association in conjunction with Parks Canada. To earn the coin, we had to find several geocaches hidden throughout the park and present our completed "passport" at a designated ranger station. Each find required us to answer specific questions about the area. Waterton Lakes National Park was established to protect the unique and unusually diverse physical, biological and cultural resources found in the Crown of the Continent: one of the narrowest places in the Rocky Mountains. It lies adjacent to Glacier National Park in Montana, USA
