Dillon was founded in the Beaverhead Valley as a railroad town in 1880 by Union Pacific Railroad President Sydney Dillon. In April 2010, Dillon was listed as one of "America's Prettiest Towns" according to Forbes magazine. It boasts blue ribbon fly fishing in the Beaverhead River. Elevation: 5102 ft. Population: 4,134. Area: 1.76 sq miles.
