This is a rare TB. Only four of them will be found in Africa. This vehicle has the same machine that is fitted to the Patrol 3 litre diesel. It is also fitted with a variable vane turbo which results in zero turbo lag. Only trick with them is that the EGR must be plugged or the engine will carbon up and it will blew the head gasket in extreme heat, normally at piston 3 or 4. The land rover discovery has the same problem and the EGR must also be plugged. Fuel consumption is about 11.5 km/litre on the open road. One of the few machine that have no metal oil filter can but a paper element. Fan belt have auto pensioners and the belt can be changed in matter of minutes – lifespan is about 100 000 km. It is also fitted with a gyro for the ABS, which is under the passenger seat. The gyro will be used to determine if the vehicle is skidding or if it is nose diving due to a proper road surface and it will adapt the ABS to suit the road condition. This mobile will be used for any off road caches.
