To travel to SirGerald's Signature Caches...
Waking up after sleeping over 10 years is a bit discombobulating.
Where has this coin been? What did it miss since March 2006?
In September of 2005, SirGerald announced he was minting his own Geocoins. They originally cost around $5 and at least 111 were preordered.
The coin features an unusual shape and unique SGnnnn numbering. The highest number seen so far is SG531n. These were originally trackable at a special Utah Geocaching website that no longer exists. It was assumed these coins would not be GeoCaching.com trackable.
The obverse or heads of the coin is a 3D engraving featuring my SirGerald's signature owl and sword, perched on the keystone of LadyLeAnn's tasseled breastwork. The reverse or tails shows a map with the location of SirGerald's Signature Burma and Rhyme Time caches.
Its really a cool, interesting and beautiful coin and harkens back ten years to the heyday of Geocaching and Geocoins. Seen on coin collector sites, is silver and possibly gold versions of this coin. Although that may be a trick of the light.
This coin seems to have received its number around March of 2006, but we haven't found its history since then. It is as if it went to sleep from March 2016 until November 2017 (11 years, 8 months) until KatQ2u made a first log entry and dropped it into the Burbank Airport Mini TB Hotel -- the mysterious orphan was named "Free Geocoin - March 06" until adopted by Geonomes.
