"They Came In Peace" "John Wayne"
The P-38 is known as a "John Wayne" by the United States Marine Corps. Scuttlebutt has it that it got its nickname because of its toughness and dependability.
Back in the day we used the "John Wayne" to open 'c-rats," as a screw driver, bottle opener and other uses.
