About This Item

Dead Running

This is a kick butt coin!!!
The coin is in the shape of a ship's wheel.
Side 1: has a Pirate on it that spins
Side 2: says "DEAD RUNNING"

The ships wheel has different shades of orange on it on both sides.
Side 1: has a pewter pirate hat, head and arm, but the pirate is a skeleton.
Side 2: has red and black and brown on it

The coin will stay in my hands and a proxy will be what you are seeing.

After over 5,025 miles traveled through 5 States and 108 caches visited since we retrieved dawnzie's Pirate Geocoin on August 3, 2023, near Tinley Park, Illinois, it is time to hand it off to someone else to get it further on its journey!!

Goodbye dawnzie's Pirate Geocoin!! We had a great ride, and we’re glad that we were able to take you to places that you had never been before, although no pirate-related stops, and to add a couple of pictures to your Gallery!!

Attached is the last picture. This one is of dawnzie's Pirate Geocoin from the back roof deck of our house in Scottsdale, Arizona, looking across the Salt River-Pima Indian Reservation, with Camelback Mountain in the distance. Enjoy!!

Safe travels!!

  • dawnzie's Pirate Geocoin and Camelback Mountain!! The name of Camelback Mountain in Phoenix, Arizona, is derived from its shape, which resembles the hump and head of a kneeling camel. The mountain, a prominent landmark of the Phoenix metropolitan area, is located in the Camelback Mountain Echo Canyon Recreation Area between the Arcadia neighborhood of Phoenix and the town of Paradise Valley. It is a popular recreation destination for hiking and rock climbing.
