As the points accrue, I'll plan my next outdoor adventure, hopefully near the last place mentioned.
This TB brings back wonderful memories of my childhood adventures of campfires and campouts, and my new new-found love of caching. Splashing in the mud puddles, waking to fog on a lake at sunrise and nurturing the embers back to life, falling asleep staring at the constellations, wondering what critter is now sharing your sleep sack to steal a little warmth. Then there's always the fun of cooking over a fire. I long for power outages so I can "challenge" myself to stay prepared, honing my cooking skills with "primitive" means and still creating a gourmet plate. Doesn't everything taste better when it's cooked over a fire???
