To spend a year travelling the world before returning to his home stream in the Adelaide Hills.
Boondaburra is one of the Aboriginal names for platypus. She came from Warrawong Wildlife Sanctuary in the Adelaide Hills where this unusual endangered mammal has been successfully bred.

Retrieved poor Boondburra from near the Frog Pond - although summer is coming to Nova Scotia he may prefer slightly warmer climes to prepare for his return Down-Under!
If we have time we will release him on a trip to near Boston MA in a couple of weeks!
The HasBeans!
Parted ways with Boonda' Released by the water, as per his request. Had fun hangin out with him, hope he sees a lot more of the world.
(Can you spot the beaver?)
Boondaburra is anxious to see the world! He will tag along with us for the rest of our visit here in Melbourne before making a long journey half way around to meet new and interesting wildlife in Canada. If he behaves we will shout him into Universal studios on our way over.
Found him in Bendigo, will have to ask him whether he wants a quick return visit to Adelaide as homesick or would prefer to be left in Melbourne. Cheers Miray
Onwards for more watery adventures K&M
Picked it up from this loft spot. Platypuses need water don't they?
