A travel bug sticker on a Focus Mares AX 2.0 cyclocross bicycle. A cyclocross bike is a highly recommended tool for geocaching. It runs like a road bike, meaning you can easily hunt for caches within a 30-40 km radius (more if you're fit) with just the bike. You can also ride on forest roads, gravel paths and other more difficult terrain, where road bike slicks would not feel welcome. And if the path gets too tricky, you can just grab the bike, hoist it on your shoulder and carry on.
