About This Item

Bosley UP CLOSE

Hop aboard Bosley’s whistlestop whirlwind world tour!!!! Join Bosley, London’s Premier Red Bus, as he circles the globe and then returns, made up, to Gatwick Airport, his place of birth. Ta!

Bosley originally hails from London’s Ga’wick airport where he spent most of his youth in a package in a backwater tourist shop…well those days are long past. Bosley was whisked away from dusty boredom by the 2Muskadeers while on their last visit to the fair isle.

Being an adventuresome tyke and not at all toffee-nosed, Bosley would like to make up for lost time by toddling off to Ga’wick by way of a whirlwind world tour. He likes a good brag and wants a few lively stories to share when he sees his chums at LGW. However, in order to REALLY impress his friends, Bosley wants to visit as many bus depots, train stations, subway systems, light rail, airports, shipping centers, and taxi stands as possible. (He's sort of mad keen for public transportation…Poor fellow -- one sandwich short of a picnic, he is!!) What would really take the biscuit would be those more unique forms of public transportation – like ferries, gondolas, rickshaws, cable cars, people movers, carriage rides, and lord knows what else. A bit of a trainspotter, that Bosley!

Post your choice pix of Bosley’s escapades on his page so he will have some material evidence to show his chums in Ga’wick… They’ll be raging jealous – which is just the reaction Bosely is aiming for!!! Result!

Dear Bosley,
Your Travel Bug the British Travel bus is on his way again. 😁

On April 30th 2003 we found the British Travel bus in the cache in Oosterzand. The idea was, to place it in another cache. But it never came so far. A short time ago, I heard from a colleague what Travel Bugs are. Then I reminded me the British Travel bus. It stands for more then twenty months in the window of my bedroom. Let’s say, a beginners fault. 🤭
It’s on its way again, my excuses for this delay.
Today, the 19th of December 2004, I’ve cached it in Almere Holland; cache de Buitenplaats N 52° 23.727 E 005° 16.787.

This is a report of my investigations on Bosley the British TB:
With regards to the note of 2Muskadeers (in oosterzand) I checked the cache today. I found that after Jamie, who places TB Bosley the British Travel bus and before Kajo who didn't find the TB there was someone else at April 30 2003 (our Queens mothers birthday). Hans, Lenie, Susanne and Vincent visited the cache. They placed a log in the logbook, but never logged on the internet... They took a nice key ring with them! I think they didn't know what a Travel bug is and perhaps they use it now as a key ring?

Maybe, Hans, Lenie, Susanne and Vincent read this. If you do, please log your visit on the internet and if you have that nice key ring somewhere, checkouts if it is a travel bug. And if you have it? Please don't feel foolish (there's no harm); log it on the internet (see above) and place it somewhere into an other nice cache.

Thanks
Postman
