Return to my home in the Pacific Northwest before my mollusk brother Snail Mail gets there.
I am a banana slug launched on my owners’ visit to Florida. I want to get back to one of my owner’s caches in the Pacific Northwest. I am racing my mollusk brother Snail Mail to get home first. I must avoid salt and any location associated with salt. By all means keep me away from the ocean, Salt Lake City, Salt Spring Island, and the Great Salt Desert (the one in Utah and the one in Iran). Along the way, I’d also like to visit the University of California, Santa Cruz, where I am the school mascot.

Home at last! What a journey. This is the first of our traveling bugs to make it back here. For an 8-year-old slug, he's done pretty well for himself. Thanks to all you 'cachers who kept him safe and on his way. This brings back some memories.

The slug bug finally made it home. I knew I had a trip to the Pacific Northwest coming up soon, I have had him with me for a few months now. Geocaching by my side. He even paid a visit to Costa Rica. But he finally made it back to one of sheepskin caches. Unfortunately he was a little too big to fit in the container. So I nestled him in behind. You may want to go ahead and come grab him and maybe even set him off on his next adventure. I have enjoyed his company and he will be missed. However I am glad that I was the one to bring him home.
