Back home in Amana Iowa. It was the longest successful communal society until the 1930s stock market crash and a devastating fire to their woolen milk forced them to dissolve. It is now a historic site. Check it out- or better yet come visit! (But be sure to go through the museum!). My great great grand parents came here from Meissenheim Germany and we grew up in this special place.
