Current Goal

I want to see anything Railroad related. A caboose in a park or some trains in a railroad yard (stay out of the yard do not trespass it is a dangerous place to be and not a playground) anything at all railroad related. I like trains and I like to look at trains.

The caboose is a thing of the past it used to be on the tail end of every train but technology and rampant cost cutting has put the noble caboose out to pasture. What a shame. I used to think the train was not done until the caboose went by but now it is a little box with a flashing light on it. Oh well change is inevitable eh!.

I took a few photos around the (old and new) railway station in Jyväskylä yesterday. There's a karaoke bar (named after resiina, handcar) in the old station house. Today, I went icefishing and happened to see a cargo train from close range.

I will let the Caboose to a new driver, so I will list some train-related stuff that occured during the trip.

I saw multiple CTA trains (photo) and some other passenger and cargo trains in Chicago.

I heard a few trains whistleling in Madison, but didn't see any of them this time.

One fellow had retired in Ashland (photo). It used to be quite a giant at its time!

I went home to Jyväskylä by Pendolino train and regional train (diesel-powered, photo). I will add a couple of photos from Jyväskylä later.
