About This Item

Al Leon

Hi!  My name is Al ... Al Leon.  I have traveled light-years to visit Earth and all it's odd areas!  It is a very long trip... most likely that once-in-a-lifetime vacation.  I flew in to Area 51 on May 18, 2013 (in my pocket spaceship trackable) and hitched a ride with some very cool "geocachers" (they had to explain that concept to me; I may take it back to my planet!) on the Extra-Terrestrial Highway in Nevada.  We did make a quick stop at the Black Mailbox, but I was warned in advance that it wasn't actually black. (I don't always get Earth humor and irony.)  Then my new geocacher-friends stopped at a place in Rachel that I was really looking forward to:  The Galactically famous Little A'Le'Inn.  I figured I'd stay here one night and visit many more geocachers at what they called the "Under the Stars in Rachel 2013" event and bonfire.  Great fun! (To read about our crazy Area 51 story, as well as our stay in Rachel, please check it out on my blog!)

My new friends suggested that I put together a list of all the famous places I want to visit and use the global geocaching network to visit as many as possible.  So, I am carrying this list with me, and I hope you'll help.  This list is by no means complete!  If you pick me up and don't see a place on the list that you think I should add, please write it down on the paper list and note it when you sign my trackable log on Geocaching.com.  Also, if I make it to a destination on my list, PLEASE CROSS IT OFF the list I carry, so I don't keep going to the same place. These locations can be famous UFO sitings and/or abductions, weird places that can't be explained by humans (bet I can solve some!), places created just for us galactic travelers, and places made famous by your Science Fiction movies.  I love those.  By the way, if you ask me, my favorite alien movie is "Paul".  Great fun!  I will be hitting many of the same sites from that movie while I'm here. I have already crossed Area 51, Black Mailbox and Little Al'Le'Inn off. Here is the list (so far):

Snowflake, AZ (Walton Abduction, 1975, aka "Fire in the Sky")
Phoenix, AZ (The Phoenix Lights, 1997)

I suspect the actual trackable has long since disappeared into someone's collection, as it's no longer physically in the Arbuckle Scouting Cache where it was placed more than six years ago. But thanks to the internet (and apparently Pinterest), it continues to have a very healthy discovery rate. Since I visited the cache where Al Leon is supposed to be staying, I'll add my "John Henry" to the list of those who have discovered him.

Was looking for images of trackables that I own (pics of the front, not the back or code) and I stumbled upon your Pintrest site as we have several coins in common. I noticed you posted them and allowed discoveries, so thank you!
