Melissa's Four GeoMonkeys are on the loose!

"Bayonet", the Baboon wants to go home to Melissa in New Zealand

Mission: Get back to Melissa in Auckland, New Zealand

via the Grand Central Station Travel Bug Hotel in California

About This Item

Bayonet Portrait

"Bayonet", the Baboon is one of four GeoMonkeys belonging to her owner, Melissa. He needs to reunite with his other three brothers: Cheeky, Gus and Shambock in New Zealand and return to Melissa, who misses them terribly.

Bayonet, is a BIG Baboon who loves to show off his strong colors and presence. Bayonet got his name from the other GeoMonkeys who saw him playing with an old World War II rifle he found deep in the jungle. He kept poking all the oranges with the rifle's bayonet. One time, Bayonet accidentally poked the rifle into the butt of Old Bet, an elephant, and was chased for 4 miles by the angry female elephant! Even though Bayonet can be stubborn sometimes, Melissa puts Bayonet on her bedside table to chase away any boogeymen at night!

Bayonet loves meeting other fellow geocachers. Please take a photo of you with him and post it here for Melissa to see.

UPDATE!!  Bayonet's three siblings are comfortably in the hands of Melissa after a few years of geocaching travels.  Melissa is now 10 years old. She still has the 3 guys on her bedside table....

THANKS FOR KEEPING THIS LITTLE GUY ALIVE - ONWARDS TO NEW ZEALAND !!!

CAN YOU HELP TAKE BAYONET OVERSEAS?

Once in Auckland, NZ, email The Artful Dodger for instructions on how you can return "Bayonet" to Melissa.
