This wooden Geocoin is the first half of the first GeoTour to be held in Oregon, The Eugene, Cascadesm & Coast GeoTour on October 20, 2012. This was the McKenzie River to Cascades portion and involved getting to McKenzie Pass before it was closed! There was only four inches of snow on the ground but was close to a "blizzard" on Saturday. We collected caches on Sunday in order to earn the first half of the two-part Geocoin, but must return to finish off all 36 caches that were placed.
The second part of the GeoTour, Florence to Eugene will occur on March 9, 2013. Maybe a "little" sunshine instead if rain and snow!
