Geocaching HQ partnered with Minelab (Metal Detection Technologies) to create the greatest treasure-hunting adventure to date by manufacturing 3,000 custom geocoin sets and distributing them to geocachers across the United States and Canada. The Minelab Ultimate Geocaching Hunt sparked shared interests for discovery and the curiosity of treasure hunting among the geocaching community and metal detectorist's alike.
Geocachers had the opportunity to win a trip to Mexico by submitting creative photos of Minelab geocoins to their Facebook page. You could even receive a free gift with purchase if you bought a qualifying metal detector during the promotion.

Back in 2018 I spent some time at the HQ VC, sitting at the picnic table and going through different trackable items to read their stories and enjoy this wonderful community in a way other than events.
