Fredrick has retired from appearing in Budweiser commercials and has always wanted to travel and write a book. His current bestseller book project is entitled- A Vacation and Dining Guide for Reptiles and Amphibians. In doing his literary research, Frederick loves to visit cache locations and popular sites where he may get to dine on a variety insects, critters, flies and other bugs.
Fredrick is looking forward to meeting new people, seeing new places and experiencing some great adventures. (He loves being in pictures too!)
There is a mini log attached to this travel bug. Please make and entry in the log and include the cache site he visited as well as the city, country and state, so that we all can more fully enjoy his travels

Well it appears that Frederick has been taken, stolen and is permanently lost. He was removed from the cache within a couple of days of being placed there and was never heard from again. We are greatly saddened as this little travel bug traveled more miles in a very short period than any of our 19 other bugs. We are still hoping that who ever took him will place him in a cache or send him back to us but after 11 months it would seem to be rather unlikely!

Frederick seemed to be tiring of the insects he could find amongst the rotted logs in this cache so he hitched a ride with the Swampfoxes and Spider Team to Edmonds for a brief stay. He has been promised a cuisine more suitable to his taste for the next week or so, then he is off to Texas for some really big bugs. He will be visiting somewhere in the Austin area and will get caught up on the local history for a chapter or two in his new book. Frederick will check in again as soon as he gets settled.

Welcome to the Northwest, Frederick! Ever seen a gen-u-ine Oregon slug? (That's our state bird, you know!) You haven't? Well, come hang out in our flower beds for a while! Don't worry, we won't delay you in your travels for too long... we're heading north on a business trip in about a week, and we hear that the frogs up in the Puget Sound area of Washington have great singing voices. We pride ourselves on microbrews around here, so you won't have to fight off as many autograph-seekers from your previous career.
