I spent three years living in Papua New Guinea and this is one of two trackables I have released in commemoration of that time.
A bilum is a traditional string bag used in PNG. It is often given as a gift to show appreciation for a relationship, e.g. when saying goodbye. This is a miniature bilum; usually they are about 30 cm long or more.
The boot represents all the hiking I enjoyed doing in this beautiful country. While I myself settle in Canada, I'd love for these trackables to keep travelling the world, and hopefully one day find each other back. I'm leaving this one in Australia and the other in Canada to start their journeys.
