About This Item

BARUGON

Barugon is a giant lizard/dog thing who first appeared in Japan in 1960. He was hatched from a giant egg which was thought to be the world's largest opal. The opal was exposed to infrared radiation accidentally, and out popped Barugon who promptly destroyed greater Kobe. Oops! Barugon has a destructive ram-rod tounge, and he can breathe out a freezing cloud to disable his opponents. Barugon also posesses a devastating electric rainbow, which eminates from his spine and can paralyze enemies at great distances. Barugon can only be destroyed by drowning or brute force, try to enlist the help of GAMERA or GODZILLA if you want to rid the Earth of this vandal.

Barugon had fun on his trip from SF Bay to San Diego -- the Zoo, Wild Animal Park, Birch Aquarium were fun but he was in need of a big diamond. We considered stashing him in the new Petco Park for the Padres opener today, but we taxpayers shelled out $400-plus million so we couldn't risk losing that diamond. La Jolla was the next big jewel candidate so we placed him there instead.

Our first Bug, found with Geospazz and Consanguity. Barugon has seen better days. His horn and Tongue are missing, but that did not stop him from going after the diamond in our ring. Will move him along quickly. Had a lot of fun.
