Visited 7/20/2019 Wombatwandering took it to SideTracked - Exeter St David's South West England, United Kingdom - 20.48 miles  Visit Log

The train took us to Exeter. While walking the South West Coast Path, we’ve had to go through here or change trains here many times. This is the last. And it’s also our last stop in Devon. Next train.... 🚆

Visited 7/20/2019 Wombatwandering took it to REALLY SideTracked - Queens Park South West England, United Kingdom - 5.9 miles  Visit Log

The bus took us to Paignton, seemingly the home of beachside casinos. Time for a train...... 🎰

Visited 7/20/2019 Wombatwandering took it to Brixham Road South West England, United Kingdom - 1.61 miles  Visit Log

Day 7 - Dartmouth to Weymouth but by public transport not legs. We’ve already walked this bit of the Coast Path. First we had to brave a quick rain shower and catch a ferry across the Dart to Kingswear and then get a bus. ⛴

Visited 7/19/2019 Wombatwandering took it to Discover Dartmouth South West England, United Kingdom - 1.81 miles  Visit Log

Day 6. After some glorious weather, it’s pouring with rain today. The good news for you is that today was a rest day in Dartmouth anyway. I planned to do some Geocaching after a few caches, I decided I was wet enough. ☔️

Visited 7/18/2019 Wombatwandering took it to Little Dartmouth Series (Turtle Rock) South West England, United Kingdom - 12.46 miles  Visit Log

Day 5, Beesands to Dartmouth. It’s a hard day after yesterday because we are still tired. The track notes say ‘gently undulated’ but there were a few savage up and downs in there. Finished the day with a Devonshire cream tea to celebrate the end of this stage. 🧁

Visited 7/17/2019 Wombatwandering took it to Start Point South West England, United Kingdom - 5.99 miles  Visit Log

Nearing the end of this long day. You’ll have walked nearly 40km and done 50,000 steps with me by the end of today. We all have sore feet. This cache is near a lighthouse on a beautiful stretch of wild coast. 🦶

Visited 7/17/2019 Wombatwandering took it to What Makes South Devon Special 1 South West England, United Kingdom - 9.44 miles  Visit Log

Day 4 - Hope Cove to Beesands. A long long day but I couldn’t find any accommodation in between. Wow, was the scenery incredible and the weather was still great. You’re on the way to lunch in Salcombe. 🌯

Visited 7/16/2019 Wombatwandering took it to Bigbury View South West England, United Kingdom - 2.76 miles  Visit Log

We made good time to Bigbury and were able to have a quick detour to Burgh Island before the boat across the Avon. It’s the scene of Agatha Christie’s Evil Under The Sun murder mystery. Luckily you survived. 🗡

Day 3 - Mothercombe to Hope Cove. The whole timing of this trip was based around today. You have to cross the River Erme on foot an hour either side of low tide and then make it to the boat across the River Avon which only runs for an hour in the morning and another hour in the afternoon. Luckily, you were able to cross the Erme a little earlier thanks to a particularly low tide so that gave us a bit more time. ⌚️

Visited 7/15/2019 Wombatwandering took it to Coastal Trail #1 South West England, United Kingdom - 2.24 miles  Visit Log

Fantastic views along this coast. You’ve taken a ferry cross a river to Noss Mayo and then enjoyed the walking along the sea cliffs. The weather is perfect. ☀️
