Current Goal

My goal is to take a trip around the world in as short a time as possible. I aim to see the sights and some amazing landmarks along the way! Please post pictures of me near the surroundings where you found me so that I might have a pictoral record of my journey. If you pick me up, please place me within two weeks' time. I am leaving from my home near Austin, Texas, and the goal would be to make my way back there, but only after circling the globe. Will you please help me along the way? In my description there is a list of places I have dreams of seeing. Perhaps some of you can manage to help me get my picture taken in some of these wonderful, inspirational locations?

About This Item

This is a small geocoin that I was tempted to name "Gus," but given that coins aren't really named cute names like "Gus," I relented. Ergo, it is simply a Minelab Geocoin. For those who do not know, Minelab makes and sells metal detectors, something that we cachers need for extreme caching (in the sand on the beach, perhaps, or for treasure buried in the woods?). They were kind enough to provide trackables free of charge to several of us, and I'm doing my part to get this one on its way.
I've always wanted to travel the world, but as a teacher, I've lacked the time and money. I'm going to have my dream vacation vicariously through this coin. Some places I've always wanted to go, that I hope my little coin will see:

1) The ancient ruins of the Parthenon in Greece.
2) The aurora borealis, viewed from Norway, Finland, or Sweden.
3) Red Square in Moscow.
4) One of the infamous "lock bridges" in Paris.
5) The ruins in Ancient Egypt.
6) Antarctica.
7) The Sydney Opera House in Australia.
8) The southernmost tip of Chile.
9) A site with Mayan ruins.
10) The International Space Station.
11) The Wailing Wall

My dreams are big, but trapped in this tiny body. I can't wait to see little "Gus'" adventures! Thanks for taking him on your voyage!
