Current Goal

Originating from the Nile Hilton in Cairo, Egypt in 1983, this Ankh was designed for the room keys. That year this Ankh was in my pocket as I climbed the Great Pyramid of Giza. It must return to the top of the Great Pyramid, then be dipped in the waters of the Nile, and returned to me in Houston. If not, there may be a curse on those who fail the mission.

About This Item

Egyptian Ankh

In 1983 I was awarded a project in Egypt to clear out an underwater minefield in Egypt's Gulf of Suez. This project was successfully completed in 9 months, after finding and disposing of 10 Soviet-manufactured acoustic-magnetic influence mines, found in a line on the seabed in Ras Bakr Bay near Ras Gharib.

During this project, while staying at the Nile Hilton in Cairo, I acquired this Ankh. We decided to test it's powers on the apex of the ancient Egyptian cosmic power, the top of the Great Pyramid of Giza. One evening we climbed to the top. Bringing water and food, blankets, a compass and this Ankh, we experimented with levitation and alterations of the earth's magnetic field. We noticed nothing unusual, except that in the blackness of night, this Ankh had developed a faint green glow.

I believe this Ankh was invested with certain powers bestowed upon it by the mystic apex of the Pyramid, and kept it close to me throughout the years. Over time the glow has diminished until now I can no longer discern it.

The powers must again be rejuvinated.

The mission for this prized Ankh is to return to Egypt and again return to the top of the Great Pyramid of Giza. This is the Pyramid with the flat top, it's alabaster cap having been long removed. It was and still is forbidden to climb the pyramid, but by subterfuge and guile, it can be done. As a hint, you must climb only on the corners as this is the safest route. The undertaking has danger, as every year people die attempting to climb the ancient artifact. It is 600 ft. tall and once you begin to fall you cannot stop yourself.

After reaching the top, or if the climb is impossible, itno the King's chamber in the pyramid's interior, and returning to Cairo, this Ankh must be dipped in the waters of the Nile River, and finally returned to me in Houston.

Those who assist in the culmination of this mission will be granted great good fortune and power against all evil. Those who obstruct the mission, or are the ultimate cause of its failure and loss will be subject to the unspeakable curse of powers beyond comprehension. Take great measure of the responsibility of taking possession of this Artifact. It carries an awesome burdon, and you link your fortune with those who follow you. Be assured if the mission succeeds, your gamble will pay off beyond measure in riches, health and good fortune. Good luck, and may the ancient dieties of Egypt be with you and protect you!

I have it... Not sure when I can leave this one to help it on it's journey. I will have to think of something.
